Hi,

I have the same problem only I'm using openSuse 11.0.
I followed your advice and created a file /etc/modprobe.d/acer_acpi containing:

    options acer_acpi wireless=1

Then ran:

    update-modules

unfortunately update-modules doesnt work on suse.
Will it still work? Is there some other alternative to update-modules?
